Its head movements and expressive face provide kids a very especial touch. They love how Aisoy1 combines horizontal and vertical head movements with eyebrows and eyelids. Aisoy1 may express some emotions using these elements, enriching it with belly's lights, mouth animations and, also, speaking. This social capability provides an emotional link with users and can be used in a wide array of activities where emotions are key, from robotics theatre plays to teaching maths and aiding kids with autism.
A robot should know what is happening around him in order to react adaptively. Aisoy1 includes touch sensors in his head and body to know if you are touching him, or could actuate as control buttons to know its current battery state. He also knows his position thanks to an accelerometer: lying, face down or upside down are only some possibilities. And now, you can use other external sensors as temperature (plug in directly or through wifi network) and manage them with your Aisoy1. Well, you will need to code with Scratch or Python what do you want Aisoy1 to do with that information.
A very useful 3Mpx camera is inside the Aisoy1's eyes. It uses artificial vision algorithms to put at your service face detection. It is very funny to code programs which react automatically when a face is in front of your Aisoy1! But, it is even more fun to use QR codes to build multiples apps e.g. to play maths, learn vocabulary, practice a new language or using it as a new way to provide instructions to your Aisoy1. Children enjoy so much combining cards with your Aisoy1 because they can create their own personal cards and use in their apps as they want. (Note: you will need a QR generator app).
Airos Manager is the new app that provides you with the capability to manage your Aisoy robot easily. Change the robot's name, register it, configure the network to access your home wifi or know what's happening when you are using it with Scratch. All these things and many more are included in this new app that make your interaction with Aisoy1. And if you have an Aisoy1 family of robots, you can manage all of them from here at the same time. Download it from our Aisoy Store.
Everyone can program an Aisoy1 with Scratch. And if you need more, you can use our SDK in Python or C++. And very soon you’ll be able to share your creations through the Aisoy Community. Top educators from over 60 schools nationwide, among other related areas as especial education, are raving about Aisoy1’s natural ability to engage children and foster creative, social, and emotional learning. And how much their students love it!
Scratch (a tile-based visual programming environment and toolkit developed by the MIT Media Lab) and Blockly (a visual programming language created by Google) introduce visual programming tools based on drag and drop blocks to code directly Aisoy1 V5! We have built blocks that provides you main Aisoy1's capabilities for building your own programs!
